Fav: Burceau. Trad metal is like Sabbathian stoner; everyone loves it so much that there are a billion bands devoted to it, and that means a lot of samey. You really need some spice to stand out. Herzel have that spicy secret sauce. Everyone can do a galloping line, but is it adventurous? Unexpected melodic turns like turning a cobbled street corner to see a mighty vista? The songs are masterfully composed and flow together beautifully, and the orchestration is exactly how I want metal orchestration to sound: full, playable by a real orchestra, and just as important to the music as the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass are.
